1. Code of Student Behaviour and Disciplinary Procedures
Any student who breaches any rule under the Code of Student Behaviour as set out in this section is guilty of a disciplinary offence.
1.1 Code of Student Behaviour
1.1.1 A Student shall not conduct himself/herself, whether within or without the campus, in any manner which in the opinion of the Director is detrimental or prejudicial to the interests, well-being or good name of the College, or to the interests, well-being or good name of any of the students, or staff of the College, or to public order, safety or security, or to morality, decency or discipline.
1.1.2 A Student shall not violate any provision of any written law, whether within or without the Campus.
1.1.3 A Student shall not disrupt or in any manner interfere with, or cause to be disrupted or in any manner interfere with, any teaching, study, research, administrative work, or any activity carried out by or under the direction of or with the permission of the College, or do any act, which may cause such disruption or interference.
1.1.4 A Student shall not prevent, obstruct, or interfere with, or cause to be prevented, obstructed or interfered with, any officer or employee of the Academy or any person acting under the direction or permission of such officer or employee, from carrying out his/her work, duty or function, or to do any act which may cause such prevention, obstruction or interference.
1.1.5 A Student shall not prevent or obstruct, or cause to be prevented or obstructed, any student from attending any lecture, tutorial or class, or from engaging in any legitimate activity, or do any act, which may cause such prevention or obstruction.
1.1.6 A Student shall not organise, incite, conspire or participate in the boycott of any examination, lecture, tutorial, class, or other legitimate activity carried out by or under the direction or with the permission of the College.
1.1.7 A Student shall not damage in any manner or cause to be damaged in any manner any property in the College, or do any act, which may cause such damage.
1.1.8 A Student shall not tamper, interfere with, move, or in any manner deal with, any substance, object, article or property whatsoever, or knowingly do any act or cause any act to be done on Campus, so as to cause or be likely to cause any obstruction, inconvenience, annoyance, loss or damage to any person.
1.1.9 A Student shall not contravene or fail to comply with any instruction or requirement by the Academy Authorities, a member of the Academy staff or other Academy employee in respect of the use of the Academy facilities and resources.
1.1.10 Gaming in the Academy : No student, and no organisation, body or group of students, shall organise, manage, run or assist in organising, managing or running, or participate in any gaming within the Campus.
1.1.11 Alcoholic Beverage : No student shall be in possession of any alcoholic beverage on Campus or consume alcoholic beverage on the Campus nor enter the Campus in a state of intoxication.
1.1.12 Obscene Articles : No student shall be in possession, custody or control of any obscene articles on campus. No student, and no organisation, body or group of students, shall distribute, circulate or exhibit, or cause to be distributed, circulated or exhibited or be in any manner concerned with the distribution, circulation or exhibition of, any obscene article within the Campus. A student shall be deemed to distribute, circulate or exhibit an obscene article, regardless of whether such distribution, circulation or exhibition is to only one person or to more than one person and regardless of whether or not such circulation, distribution or exhibition is for payment or for any other consideration or without consideration.
1.1.13 Drugs and Poisons
1.1.13.1 Save and except as provided for in clause 1.1.13.4, no student shall be in possession or under custody or control of any drug or poison or be found to be under the influence of any drug or poison.
1.1.13.2 No student shall give, supply, provide or offer or propose to give, supply, provide or offer any drug or poison to any person.
1.1.13.3 No student shall consume orally, or smoke or inhale, or introduce into his/her body by injection or in any other manner whatsoever, any drug or poison.
1.1.13.4 Nothing in this rule shall be deemed to prevent a student from undergoing any treatment by or under the prescription of a medical practitioner registered under the Medical Act, 1971.
1.1.14 Smoking : Smoking is prohibited in the Campus including the hostels.
1.1.15 Dress Code : Students are required to dress neatly and decently at all times. Strictly no SLIPPER, FLIP FLOPS, torn T, excessive torn jeans to school. Students found to be violation of the dress code, may be fine up to RM10 each day. Persistently not meeting dress code policy, student may be requiring to pay for extra set of school uniform charge at RM35.
1.2 Disciplinary Procedures
1.2.1 Where it appears to Academy that a student has committed a Disciplinary Offence, the CAMA management shall, either orally or in writing, require the student to appear before it on a particular date, time and place specified by the Authority.
1.2.2 Where a student fails to attend before the CAMA management in accordance with a requirement under rule 1.2.1, he/she shall immediately thereupon be suspended from being a student of the Academy and shall not thereafter remain in or enter the Campus. Such suspension shall continue until the CAMA management decides otherwise. If the student offers to attend before the CAMA management, the CAMA management may consider setting a new date and time for the student to appear before it, at its discretion.
1.2.3 At the Disciplinary Proceeding, the CAMA management shall explain to the student the facts of the Disciplinary Offence alleged to have been committed by the student.
1.2.4 The CAMA management may question or call any witness at any time to fully appreciate the facts in the offence before it makes its decision.
1.2.5 After hearing the witnesses and examining the documents or other articles produced before it, the CAMA management shall make and announce its decision, and if it decides that the student is guilty of the Disciplinary Offence, he/she may submit mitigating factors for a lenient punishment.
1.2.6 The CAMA management may impose a punishment in the form of a fine on the student and/or order the student to pay a compensation for damage to any property or any loss or injury to any person. Such a fine/compensation must be paid within the specified period, failing which the student shall be suspended from the Academy.
1.2.7 More serious offences may lead to the following punishments : a suspension from any or all of the facilities or courses/programmes of the Campus for a specified period; exclusion from any part of the Campus for a specified period; expulsion from the Academy and the Campus. CAMA management reserves the right to refer and to report any matter whatsoever to the police where appropriate.
1.2.8 Present at a Disciplinary Proceeding shall be : the CAMA management; the student(s) against whom the Disciplinary Proceeding is taken; the parent(s) or guardian(s) of such a student(s); a witness while he/she is giving evidence, or when required by the CAMA management; such other person as the CAMA management may for any special reason authorise to be present.
1.3 Appeals
1.3.1 Where a student is dissatisfied with a decision of the CAMA management, he/she may appeal in writing to the Director within five days of the decision of the CAMA management.
1.3.2 The notice of appeal must set out clearly the grounds of appeal.
1.4 General Regulations
1.4.1 Student Card : Every student will be issued a student card. A fee will be imposed for the replacement of a lost student card.
1.4.2 Visitor Passes : Before any access card is issued, RM50 of deposit must be paid to the administration office before collecting the access card. This deposit is refundable after returning the access card back to the administration office before exiting the campus.
There are four types of visitor passes; Seasonal Pass, Business Pass, Contractor Pass & Visitor Pass. Seasonal pass (Access card & Tag) is only for those who are attached or involved with Camou Academy of Media Arts clause for example ‘part-time lecturers”. They have access to the main entrance door only.
Business Pass (Access card & Tag) is only for the person who is in charge of leading the team that rents Camou Academy facilities or involved with projects related to Camou Academy for example renovation or shooting production. The head incharge or the supervisor of the team will have the access to the main entrance door only. If they are required to enter either “Green Screen Studio, Sound Recording Studio or Cinema, separated access card will be given once received approval from the administration office.
Contractor Pass (Only Tag) is for the crew members of the team that involved with projects related to Camou Academy or renting out the facilities such as shooting production or renovation. They do not have access to any doors in the academy as they need to refer to their supervisor for entering into the campus.
Visitor Pass (Tag Only) is for those who wants to visit the Camou Academy. He / she can be either an ex-student of Camou Academy or he / she is brought by his / her friend who is studying in Camou Academy. The person doesn’t not have access to any doors in the campus. All tags must be worn all the time while being in the campus. All passes must be returned to the administration office before exiting the academy. brought by his / her friend who studying at Camou Academy. Anyone failed to return the access card will be penalized as the deposit will not be refunded to cover the cost of loss.
Any damages to the access card also leads to non refundable deposit. Anyone who wants to visit Camou Academy or make an appointment for consultation is required to get approval from the administration before entering into the campus.
1.4.2 Schoology : Students are compulsory to download “Schoology’ app on their mobile available at the (Apple App Store / Android Play Store). Schoology is an educational learning management system for academy, college, university or any higher education institutions and corporations that allows students to create, manage and share content and resources. It is a cloud-based platform that provides tools to manage any classroom or learning environment where attendance, student reports, learning growth, course syllabus, reference materials and other documentation plus useful features are centralized into this system, thus enables the administration and lecturers to monitor every single student studying in the campus.
Student must register Schoology account by the 2nd day of orientation held using school official email (Gmail) setup newly on 2nd day orientation. Student are not allowed to register Schoology app using other email accounts belong or not belong to you, or any unofficial email account. Student must regularly login Schoology account, either through desktop or mobile while studying in Camou Academy. Student will receive every notification on current campus updates from administration and lecturers through their Schoology account.
1.4.3 Attendance at Lectures : Where a student is required to attend any lecture, tutorial, class or other instruction relating to his/her course of study, he/she shall not absent himself/herself without the prior permission of the CAMA management, unless the circumstances do not permit such prior permission to be obtained and there is reasonable cause or excuse for the absence, in which case the student shall, as soon as possible thereafter, satisfy with regard to the absence and obtain approval in respect thereof.
1.4.4 Appearance for Examinations / Presentation : Where a student’s appearance for an examination / presentation and he/she is not otherwise barred from appearing for such examination, he/she shall not fail to appear for examination / presentation without the prior permission of the Chief Instructor unless the circumstances do not permit such prior permission to be obtained and there is reasonable cause or excuse for the non-appearance, in which case the student shall, as soon as possible thereafter, satisfy the Chief Instructor, with regard to the absence and obtain approval in respect accordingly.
1.4.5 Internship & Final Year Project 2 : Students who are going for an internship placement must meet the Internship Program coordinator to get the approval upon proceeding in industrial placement program. Student need to fill up Form D1, D2 & D3 which will be given three months before the beginning date of the internship program, and give the documents to the internship coordinator for approval process.
Students are required to provide evidence of the company that the students are going to persuade their industrial placement. This is to ensure that the students are joining companies that related to their field work only as the students gained valuable knowledge in their related field and experiences to improve their skills in near future.
Students are not allowed to set up own company or fake company to complete the internship program. This act is referred to ‘cheating’ as it equivalent to cheating in their examination. Such act like this leads to student failing the program and need to retake in order to pass the course.
Internship program is evaluated by your industrial placement company’s CEO, manager or supervisor. If they choose to fail you in the internship program, Camou Academy have the rights to fail the student and affected students need to accept the reality of not fulfilling the criteria and requirement needed to pass internship program.
Students who completed Internship placement or stepping into Final Year Project 2 course will be entitled to receive an elite jacket to represent “Camou Academy’s Final Year Student”. These students have access to the “FYP Senior Classroom”, where better facilities are provided for them to complete their final year project and produce a better quality production works for their showreel to apply jobs after graduation.
Only these students have access to the final year project senior classroom. No other students are allowed to enter into this classroom without permission from the administration or authorised lecturers. Any unauthorized found in fyp senior classroom will be penalized where the student required to clean the classroom for a week period and clear all rubbish in every dustbin at Camou Academy.
1.4.6 Intellectual Property : CAMA management upholds the integrity of all forms of materials protected under intellectual property rights. Any form of copied materials is strictly prohibited. We own or have licensed to us the intellectual property in all course materials produced by us (or on our behalf) and such materials should only be used for your own personal study purposes.
As set out in the Intellectual Property Policy for Students, we may require that you transfer to us intellectual property you create during your time at the Academy. You hereby agree that where required by the policy, you will enter into the necessary agreements to give effect to the policy.
In consideration of our obligations under this agreement, you hereby grant us (the Academy) the right to use intellectual property created and owned by you for non-commercial purposes and promotional purposes. ‘Non-commercial’ means things like educational use, research use, publication in academic journals, Academy promotional materials, websites, exhibitions, prospectuses and catalogues. Our rights will be unlimited in time and geographical area. We may sub-license such intellectual property rights to other organisations and academic institutions for non-commercial purposes. If the work created by you is tangible (such as a work of art, sculpture or 3D model), we may borrow the work for non-commercial purposes and promotional purposes for a reasonable period.
We may also use intellectual property created by you for commercial purposes. If we wish to do this you will be required to enter into a formal license with us to permit this. In these circumstances you will be entitled to a royalty and the amount of this will be determined under the Academy’s Revenue Sharing Scheme.
1.4.7 All Online Applications : Application such as leave of absent for unable to attend classes due to certain acceptable reason or wanting to rent academy’s equipment can be obtained through online at learn.camoustudio.com where student able to fill up the forms required and submit it for approval. Once approved, student able to proceed the process based on the application applied and approved.
1.4.8 Cleanliness within the Campus : A student shall not do anything which may be detrimental to the cleanliness and neatness of the Campus.
1.4.9 Annoying or Disturbing Noises : A student shall not make or permit to be made any sound or noise, or cause any sound or noise to be produced, by any means or in any manner, where such noise or sound causes or is likely to cause annoyance or disturbance to any person within the Campus.
1.4.10 Living or Sleeping in the Campus : No student shall use or cause to be used any part of the Campus or any part of any building within the Campus as living or sleeping accommodation, except the accommodation provided for him/her in the Hostel by the College.
1.4.11 Entry into Prohibited Parts of Campus or Buildings : A student shall not enter any part of the Campus or any part of any building within the Campus, the entry into which is prohibited to students generally or, in particular, to the student or class of students concerned.
1.4.12 Disobedience : Where a student fails to comply with or contravenes any legitimate instruction, direction or requirement given or made by any officer or employee of the Academy authorised to give or make same in the Campus, he/she shall be guilty of a disciplinary offence.
1.4.13 Consumption of Food and Drinks : Food and drinks are not to be consumed in
the classrooms, tutorial rooms, library, studio, lecture theatres or auditorium.
1.4.14 Illegal Demonstration : Students are not allowed to participate in any illegal
demonstration.
1.4.15 Internet and Network : Students are not allowed to share campus wifi password
to strangers or outsiders. Members of Camou Academy should only connect to our
provided wifi connection (Camou). Non-member of Camou Academy are allowed to
connect with campus’ free wifi connection (CamouVIP). Members of Camou Academy
are not allowed to connect to (CamouVIP) wifi connection. Students are prohibited in
misusing the Internet connection to browse unauthorised or banned websites such as
online games, pornography, movies, torrent downloads and etc.
1.4.16 Platform Games : Students are not allowed to play games in campus, including
online games, mobile games or any platform games. Students allowed to play board
games or darts machine only after lesson hours. Students are not allowed to play darts
without inserting token or money to utilize the facility of arcade machine provided.
1.4.17 Campus Attires : Students are not allowed to wear inappropriate attire that
provoke or offend anyone in the campus. participate in any illegal. Personal hygiene and
any perfume or other odours do not cause others discomfort. Well cared appearance
should be maintained. Slippers and sexy outfits are strictly prohibited.
Student who disobey for not wearing shoes will face the consequences. Such student must return your student ID in exchange of a “Temporary New Pass” ensuring the student wearing the pass given for the entire day in Camou Academy. If the student failed to wear the pass given and being caught for not wearing it, each time being caught, student will be penalized for RM10. At the end of day, student need to return the “Temporary New Pass” back to the office and collect back your student ID upon returning the pass.
1.4.18 Disciplinary Action : Students are not allowed to use bad languages, abusive
or vulgar words or even racist comments whether it’s face to face towards any Camou
Academy members or any other social media platforms as it will bring the academy into
disrepute. Disrespectful or defiant behaviour leads towards suspension from the
academy.
1.4.19 Late to Class : Students who are late to attend lesson 15 minutes after the time
schedule listed will be marked as absent in the attendance sheet report. Students who
failed to attend classes less than 80% will fail the late attended subjects.
1.4.20 Late Submission : Students who are late submit the homework, assignments,
artwork or final year projects required by the lecturers to submit on time will result in 50%
deduction of marks.
1.4.21 Rentals, Misuse Equipments : Students are prohibited from using Camou
Academy’s equipments for personal usage. Students are only allowed to rent campus’
equipment with the approval from the authorised lecturers to use it for educational
purposes or assignments related.Students who doesn’t return the equipments on time
will be penalised Rm100 each day after the actual return date listed on the rental
agreement signed by the student. Student who failed to return the equipment on time for
three times will be issued a black warning letter and will be blacklisted from rental any
academy’s equipment in the future.
Any broken equipments must be reported to the lecturer and campus administrations. Students who vandalise equipments or any technologies of Camou Academy campus will be strictly punished to replace the broken materials. Student who damaged Camou Academy’s equipment or any property in the campus and does not report to the administration with immediate effect will be penalized double penalty charges than the cost of replacing the damaged property.
If you caught any suspect that’s responsible to the damaged property should immediately report to the administration office. If the suspect is found guilty, half of the double penalty charges that’s penalized on the suspect will be given to the person who testify to the administration office as a reward for being a responsible person in the campus.
1.4.22 Vandalism : Students are prohibited from damaging any property owned by
Camou Academy. Students are not allowed to cut any materials on the tables or any
other areas for assessments and submission purposes. Students should utilize the
‘cutting area’ provided by the campus. Students must use the cutting pad given by the
campus to cut any materials.
Students are also prohibited to use spray mount inside and outside of the campus. Students who want to use the spray mount are allowed to use it from the distance of 25 meter from the campus. Students who found guilty in damaging property of Camou Academy with the usage of spray mount inside or outside of the campus below 25 meter, wrong usage of cutting pad or not using cutting pad to cut any materials inside campus will be penalised Rm500 (deducted from the security bond) for each offense.
1.4.23 Certificates : Students need to pass all the subjects in order to receive a diploma certificate. If student failed any of the subject throughout their education in the academy, the student needs to retake the subject and pass the course in order to obtain the diploma certificate. Each retake courses are chargeable according to the timetable written on the 11th chapter, referring to the page 22. Failing to retake failed subject makes the student not entitled to receive the diploma certificate from Camou Academy.
Students who completed internship program will receive an internship certificate as a proof of evidence, that the student have gone through the process of practical work and industrial placement in the real world working environment. This helps the student to build a strong connection and good relationship with the internship placement company which leads to higher possibility of being hired by the same internship placement company on permanent basis (full-time employee).
Students who participate in Information Technology Program (IT) and meets the requirement given by the authorised lecturers, such as setting up multiple computers in a lab, dissembling and assembling computers and etc, according to the quota given by the authorized lecturers are entitled to receive an IT certificate proving that the student have gained skill in Information Technology (IT).
Students who also join the 3D Printer Program and meets the requirement given by the authorised lecturers, such as helping other students in printing 3d model, sharing knowledge of the 3d printing skills to Camou Academy students, printing multiple 3d models and etc, according to the quota given by the authorized lecturers are entitled to receive a 3D printing certificate proving that the student have gained skill in using 3D Printer.
Students who receive scholarship also entitled to receive scholarship certificate. Students who awarded for “Best Student’, “Hall of Fame”, “Dean List” and etc are entitled to receive certificates according to the categories that the student nominated from Camou Academy. Students who involved in activities related to Camou Academy heavily will receive certificate of appreciation to gratitude students effort in making the activities held by the academy end successful.

1.3.1 Where a student is dissatisfied with a decision of the CAMA management, he/she may appeal in writing to the Director within five days of the decision of the CAMA management.
1.3.2 The notice of appeal must set out clearly the grounds of appeal.
1.4 General Regulations
1.4.1 Student Card : Every student will be issued a student card. A fee will be imposed for the replacement of a lost student card.
1.4.2 Visitor Passes : Before any access card is issued, RM50 of deposit must be paid to the administration office before collecting the access card. This deposit is refundable after returning the access card back to the administration office before exiting the campus.
There are four types of visitor passes; Seasonal Pass, Business Pass, Contractor Pass & Visitor Pass. Seasonal pass (Access card & Tag) is only for those who are attached or involved with Camou Academy of Media Arts clause for example ‘part-time lecturers”. They have access to the main entrance door only.
Business Pass (Access card & Tag) is only for the person who is in charge of leading the team that rents Camou Academy facilities or involved with projects related to Camou Academy for example renovation or shooting production. The head incharge or the supervisor of the team will have the access to the main entrance door only. If they are required to enter either “Green Screen Studio, Sound Recording Studio or Cinema, separated access card will be given once received approval from the administration office.
Contractor Pass (Only Tag) is for the crew members of the team that involved with projects related to Camou Academy or renting out the facilities such as shooting production or renovation. They do not have access to any doors in the academy as they need to refer to their supervisor for entering into the campus.
Visitor Pass (Tag Only) is for those who wants to visit the Camou Academy. He / she can be either an ex-student of Camou Academy or he / she is brought by his / her friend who is studying in Camou Academy. The person doesn’t not have access to any doors in the campus. All tags must be worn all the time while being in the campus. All passes must be returned to the administration office before exiting the academy. brought by his / her friend who studying at Camou Academy. Anyone failed to return the access card will be penalized as the deposit will not be refunded to cover the cost of loss.
Any damages to the access card also leads to non refundable deposit. Anyone who wants to visit Camou Academy or make an appointment for consultation is required to get approval from the administration before entering into the campus.
1.4.2 Schoology : Students are compulsory to download “Schoology’ app on their mobile available at the (Apple App Store / Android Play Store). Schoology is an educational learning management system for academy, college, university or any higher education institutions and corporations that allows students to create, manage and share content and resources. It is a cloud-based platform that provides tools to manage any classroom or learning environment where attendance, student reports, learning growth, course syllabus, reference materials and other documentation plus useful features are centralized into this system, thus enables the administration and lecturers to monitor every single student studying in the campus.
Student must register Schoology account by the 2nd day of orientation held using school official email (Gmail) setup newly on 2nd day orientation. Student are not allowed to register Schoology app using other email accounts belong or not belong to you, or any unofficial email account. Student must regularly login Schoology account, either through desktop or mobile while studying in Camou Academy. Student will receive every notification on current campus updates from administration and lecturers through their Schoology account.
1.4.3 Attendance at Lectures : Where a student is required to attend any lecture, tutorial, class or other instruction relating to his/her course of study, he/she shall not absent himself/herself without the prior permission of the CAMA management, unless the circumstances do not permit such prior permission to be obtained and there is reasonable cause or excuse for the absence, in which case the student shall, as soon as possible thereafter, satisfy with regard to the absence and obtain approval in respect thereof.
1.4.4 Appearance for Examinations / Presentation : Where a student’s appearance for an examination / presentation and he/she is not otherwise barred from appearing for such examination, he/she shall not fail to appear for examination / presentation without the prior permission of the Chief Instructor unless the circumstances do not permit such prior permission to be obtained and there is reasonable cause or excuse for the non-appearance, in which case the student shall, as soon as possible thereafter, satisfy the Chief Instructor, with regard to the absence and obtain approval in respect accordingly.
1.4.5 Internship & Final Year Project 2 : Students who are going for an internship placement must meet the Internship Program coordinator to get the approval upon proceeding in industrial placement program. Student need to fill up Form D1, D2 & D3 which will be given three months before the beginning date of the internship program, and give the documents to the internship coordinator for approval process.
Students are required to provide evidence of the company that the students are going to persuade their industrial placement. This is to ensure that the students are joining companies that related to their field work only as the students gained valuable knowledge in their related field and experiences to improve their skills in near future.
Students are not allowed to set up own company or fake company to complete the internship program. This act is referred to ‘cheating’ as it equivalent to cheating in their examination. Such act like this leads to student failing the program and need to retake in order to pass the course.
Internship program is evaluated by your industrial placement company’s CEO, manager or supervisor. If they choose to fail you in the internship program, Camou Academy have the rights to fail the student and affected students need to accept the reality of not fulfilling the criteria and requirement needed to pass internship program.
Students who completed Internship placement or stepping into Final Year Project 2 course will be entitled to receive an elite jacket to represent “Camou Academy’s Final Year Student”. These students have access to the “FYP Senior Classroom”, where better facilities are provided for them to complete their final year project and produce a better quality production works for their showreel to apply jobs after graduation.
Only these students have access to the final year project senior classroom. No other students are allowed to enter into this classroom without permission from the administration or authorised lecturers. Any unauthorized found in fyp senior classroom will be penalized where the student required to clean the classroom for a week period and clear all rubbish in every dustbin at Camou Academy.
1.4.6 Intellectual Property : CAMA management upholds the integrity of all forms of materials protected under intellectual property rights. Any form of copied materials is strictly prohibited. We own or have licensed to us the intellectual property in all course materials produced by us (or on our behalf) and such materials should only be used for your own personal study purposes.
As set out in the Intellectual Property Policy for Students, we may require that you transfer to us intellectual property you create during your time at the Academy. You hereby agree that where required by the policy, you will enter into the necessary agreements to give effect to the policy.
In consideration of our obligations under this agreement, you hereby grant us (the Academy) the right to use intellectual property created and owned by you for non-commercial purposes and promotional purposes. ‘Non-commercial’ means things like educational use, research use, publication in academic journals, Academy promotional materials, websites, exhibitions, prospectuses and catalogues. Our rights will be unlimited in time and geographical area. We may sub-license such intellectual property rights to other organisations and academic institutions for non-commercial purposes. If the work created by you is tangible (such as a work of art, sculpture or 3D model), we may borrow the work for non-commercial purposes and promotional purposes for a reasonable period.
We may also use intellectual property created by you for commercial purposes. If we wish to do this you will be required to enter into a formal license with us to permit this. In these circumstances you will be entitled to a royalty and the amount of this will be determined under the Academy’s Revenue Sharing Scheme.
1.4.7 All Online Applications : Application such as leave of absent for unable to attend classes due to certain acceptable reason or wanting to rent academy’s equipment can be obtained through online at learn.camoustudio.com where student able to fill up the forms required and submit it for approval. Once approved, student able to proceed the process based on the application applied and approved.
1.4.8 Cleanliness within the Campus : A student shall not do anything which may be detrimental to the cleanliness and neatness of the Campus.
1.4.9 Annoying or Disturbing Noises : A student shall not make or permit to be made any sound or noise, or cause any sound or noise to be produced, by any means or in any manner, where such noise or sound causes or is likely to cause annoyance or disturbance to any person within the Campus.
1.4.10 Living or Sleeping in the Campus : No student shall use or cause to be used any part of the Campus or any part of any building within the Campus as living or sleeping accommodation, except the accommodation provided for him/her in the Hostel by the College.
1.4.11 Entry into Prohibited Parts of Campus or Buildings : A student shall not enter any part of the Campus or any part of any building within the Campus, the entry into which is prohibited to students generally or, in particular, to the student or class of students concerned.
1.4.12 Disobedience : Where a student fails to comply with or contravenes any legitimate instruction, direction or requirement given or made by any officer or employee of the Academy authorised to give or make same in the Campus, he/she shall be guilty of a disciplinary offence.
1.4.13 Consumption of Food and Drinks : Food and drinks are not to be consumed in
the classrooms, tutorial rooms, library, studio, lecture theatres or auditorium.
1.4.14 Illegal Demonstration : Students are not allowed to participate in any illegal
demonstration.
1.4.15 Internet and Network : Students are not allowed to share campus wifi password
to strangers or outsiders. Members of Camou Academy should only connect to our
provided wifi connection (Camou). Non-member of Camou Academy are allowed to
connect with campus’ free wifi connection (CamouVIP). Members of Camou Academy
are not allowed to connect to (CamouVIP) wifi connection. Students are prohibited in
misusing the Internet connection to browse unauthorised or banned websites such as
online games, pornography, movies, torrent downloads and etc.
1.4.16 Platform Games : Students are not allowed to play games in campus, including
online games, mobile games or any platform games. Students allowed to play board
games or darts machine only after lesson hours. Students are not allowed to play darts
without inserting token or money to utilize the facility of arcade machine provided.
1.4.17 Campus Attires : Students are not allowed to wear inappropriate attire that
provoke or offend anyone in the campus. participate in any illegal. Personal hygiene and
any perfume or other odours do not cause others discomfort. Well cared appearance
should be maintained. Slippers and sexy outfits are strictly prohibited.
Student who disobey for not wearing shoes will face the consequences. Such student must return your student ID in exchange of a “Temporary New Pass” ensuring the student wearing the pass given for the entire day in Camou Academy. If the student failed to wear the pass given and being caught for not wearing it, each time being caught, student will be penalized for RM10. At the end of day, student need to return the “Temporary New Pass” back to the office and collect back your student ID upon returning the pass.
1.4.18 Disciplinary Action : Students are not allowed to use bad languages, abusive
or vulgar words or even racist comments whether it’s face to face towards any Camou
Academy members or any other social media platforms as it will bring the academy into
disrepute. Disrespectful or defiant behaviour leads towards suspension from the
academy.
1.4.19 Late to Class : Students who are late to attend lesson 15 minutes after the time
schedule listed will be marked as absent in the attendance sheet report. Students who
failed to attend classes less than 80% will fail the late attended subjects.
1.4.20 Late Submission : Students who are late submit the homework, assignments,
artwork or final year projects required by the lecturers to submit on time will result in 50%
deduction of marks.
1.4.21 Rentals, Misuse Equipments : Students are prohibited from using Camou
Academy’s equipments for personal usage. Students are only allowed to rent campus’
equipment with the approval from the authorised lecturers to use it for educational
purposes or assignments related.Students who doesn’t return the equipments on time
will be penalised Rm100 each day after the actual return date listed on the rental
agreement signed by the student. Student who failed to return the equipment on time for
three times will be issued a black warning letter and will be blacklisted from rental any
academy’s equipment in the future.
Any broken equipments must be reported to the lecturer and campus administrations. Students who vandalise equipments or any technologies of Camou Academy campus will be strictly punished to replace the broken materials. Student who damaged Camou Academy’s equipment or any property in the campus and does not report to the administration with immediate effect will be penalized double penalty charges than the cost of replacing the damaged property.
If you caught any suspect that’s responsible to the damaged property should immediately report to the administration office. If the suspect is found guilty, half of the double penalty charges that’s penalized on the suspect will be given to the person who testify to the administration office as a reward for being a responsible person in the campus.
1.4.22 Vandalism : Students are prohibited from damaging any property owned by
Camou Academy. Students are not allowed to cut any materials on the tables or any
other areas for assessments and submission purposes. Students should utilize the
‘cutting area’ provided by the campus. Students must use the cutting pad given by the
campus to cut any materials.
Students are also prohibited to use spray mount inside and outside of the campus. Students who want to use the spray mount are allowed to use it from the distance of 25 meter from the campus. Students who found guilty in damaging property of Camou Academy with the usage of spray mount inside or outside of the campus below 25 meter, wrong usage of cutting pad or not using cutting pad to cut any materials inside campus will be penalised Rm500 (deducted from the security bond) for each offense.
1.4.23 Certificates : Students need to pass all the subjects in order to receive a diploma certificate. If student failed any of the subject throughout their education in the academy, the student needs to retake the subject and pass the course in order to obtain the diploma certificate. Each retake courses are chargeable according to the timetable written on the 11th chapter, referring to the page 22. Failing to retake failed subject makes the student not entitled to receive the diploma certificate from Camou Academy.
Students who completed internship program will receive an internship certificate as a proof of evidence, that the student have gone through the process of practical work and industrial placement in the real world working environment. This helps the student to build a strong connection and good relationship with the internship placement company which leads to higher possibility of being hired by the same internship placement company on permanent basis (full-time employee).
Students who participate in Information Technology Program (IT) and meets the requirement given by the authorised lecturers, such as setting up multiple computers in a lab, dissembling and assembling computers and etc, according to the quota given by the authorized lecturers are entitled to receive an IT certificate proving that the student have gained skill in Information Technology (IT).
Students who also join the 3D Printer Program and meets the requirement given by the authorised lecturers, such as helping other students in printing 3d model, sharing knowledge of the 3d printing skills to Camou Academy students, printing multiple 3d models and etc, according to the quota given by the authorized lecturers are entitled to receive a 3D printing certificate proving that the student have gained skill in using 3D Printer.
Students who receive scholarship also entitled to receive scholarship certificate. Students who awarded for “Best Student’, “Hall of Fame”, “Dean List” and etc are entitled to receive certificates according to the categories that the student nominated from Camou Academy. Students who involved in activities related to Camou Academy heavily will receive certificate of appreciation to gratitude students effort in making the activities held by the academy end successful.
2. Assessment
2.1 Plagiarism :
Copying someone’s work, in part or whole and cutting and pasting from the internet are serious offences.
2.2 Submission of Assignment :
2.2.1 Students are required to submit their assignments and homework follow semester submission schedule. Late submission of assignment or homework without approval from Chief Assessor will result in a student being disqualified from an examination / assessment.

be payable within 7 days of the commencement of the semester. The Management reserves the right to exclude a student from attending classes and using campus facilities until the fees due are paid up. Tuition fees are not refundable or transferable.
3.1.2.1 Tuition fees are inclusive of computer lab fee.
3.1.2.2 Tuition fees are not refundable in case student dropping of subject(s) or withdraw from Academy.
3.1.2.3 RM 50 of late payment processing fee will be charged every 2 weeks until full payment made.
3.1.2.4 Student with outstanding fees may also be suspended from their candidature of study with the Academy.
3.1.3 Other Fees : Student may be required to pay additional fees as determined by the Academy.
3.1.3.1 Printing & Art materials Fees : are not inclusive in tuition fees.
3.1.3.2 Class Fees : Amount to be collect determined by each individual class. Expenditure of fees to be determined by individual class.
3.1.4 Study Loan : A student who has applied for a study loan please refer to LOAN agreement.
3.2 Enrolment Status and Payment of Fees
3.2.1 Enrolment Status : A student is considered a registered student of the Academy upon payment of Security Bond & Assessment fees. Deregistration process will be activated if student did not report for classes by the first week of the commencement semester. Letter with valid reason are required from student in case of late report to classes. Failure to inform will result in all fees paid being forfeited.
3.2.2 Payment of Tuition Fees : All tuition fees and other applicable fees must be paid within 7 days from the commencement of the semester.
3.3 Withdrawal from Programme :
3.3.1 Any withdrawal by a student from a programme must be made officially to the Registry by
using the prescribed form.
3.3.2 The student must surrender his/her Student Card, Security Access Card (if any), library books and any property belonging to the Academy. The student is responsible for the replacement cost of any College property lost or damaged by him/her.
3.3.3 A fine of RM100 will be imposed if the Security Access Card is not returned.
3.3.4 All outstanding fees or official charges must be settled in full before the application for withdrawal can be approved.
3.4 Transfer and Deferment :
3.4.1 A student who deferred from a semester and subsequently enrolls in the Academy within 12 months shall be eligible to have his/her Assessment fee waived and Security Bond fees to bring forward. However, such students are required write in for application of deferment and fees to be transferred.
3.4.2 Deferment : Students who wish to defer their studies due to National Service, financial problems, medical or other reasons must obtain approval from the Head. If an application for deferment is received and approved before the semester commences, the student will not be required to pay any fees for the semester. If a student applies for deferment after the semester starts, tuition fees to be transferred to the next semester will be on prorated basis.
3.4.3 Deferment can be granted up to a maximum of 1 academic year only, after which student is required to withdraw from the programme.

4.1.6 Keep the noise level at a minimum. Switch to silent mode for your mobile. Do not use mobile phones in the computer lab.
4.1.7 Save all your work to removable media or your camoucrenata drive. Do NOT save work to the local (C:) hard drive or desktop.
4.1.8 Do not simply go in any of Camou Academy’s private folders without permission.
4.1.9 Do not make changes to the computers or installed software. This includes changes to the desktop, icons, wallpapers and taskbar.
4.1.10 Users not working on homework assignments may be asked to relinquish their computers to those students needing to do homework.
4.1.11 Users not allowed to play mobile games or surf any other online game websites in class.
4.1.12 Users prohibited in accessing not relevant, inappropriate or banned websites such as games, movies, pornogrphy, torrent downloads and etc.
4.1.13 Smoking is strictly prohibited as the labs and campus are smoke-free zones.
4.1.14 Do not sleep in class during lesson hours. Students who are not feeling well should inform the situation to the lecturers or school administrations to avoid disruption during lesson conducted by the lecturers.
4.1.15 Students are not allowed to unplug or remove any cables or equipment in the computer labs are belong to Camou Academy of Media Arts. Any student found guilty on such these acts will be fined for RM100.
4.1.16 Students who caught in damaging any equipment in Camou Academy of Media Arts will be imposed to pay the damaged property for replacement.

5. Attendance Rules
5.1 Access cards and keys remain the property of the CAMOU ACADEMY at all times and must be returned if requested. You must immediately report any lost, stolen or damaged cards to CAMOU within 24 hours or as soon as you become aware of the problem. You will be given 3 days time to finding the loss card, RM10 of card de-activation processing fee will be imposed or RM50 will be charged for replacement cards that are stolen / lost.
5.2 You are responsible for the use of any access card issued to you including unauthorised use by other parties. You must not allow another person to use your card, or the facilities to which the card gives access. You must not, for example, allow anyone without a valid card to follow you into an access-controlled area.Misuse of access cards or security systems may result in an appropriate disciplinary action.
5.3 Do not sell, swap, or transfer your card to any other person at any time.
5.4 Damaged cards will not function correctly and may prevent you from accessing secure areas. Ensure your card is not bent, folded or exposed to extreme conditions to ensure it is not damaged. RM50 of charges apply for replacement cards.
5.5 Use of electronic access cards and keys are logged and recorded. CAMOU stores information in accordance with relevant privacy legislation. Details of an individual's issued electronic access card are recorded and the cardholder will be held responsible for any breach of security which may occur where these conditions have not been met.
5.6 Access cards expire based on student study requirements.
5.7 Issuing of an electronic access card does not constitute approval to access all areas; individual approval is required for most areas.
5.8 You may be requested to present your access and ID card to CAMOU at any time on campus and produced to confirm your identity at the request of an authorised person. Failure to present student cards may result in disciplinary action.
5.9 Do not leave any electronic gate open; ensure it is closed after you.
5.10 The access card is a property of Camou Academy of Media Arts and its usage is governed by Terms and Conditions. In case those terms and conditions are violated , the holder will be subject to financial fines and legal proceedings.
5.11 Students are not allowed to use side door entrance at certain time, side door entrance will be only available from 6pm - 11pm.
5.12 Student ID card must be returned when you suspend, withdraw from the CAMOU ACADEMY or your enrolment is terminated by CAMOU ACADEMY.
Access Cards will remain active as long as you are enrolled with CAMOU ACADEMY. If your enrolment should end, your access card privileges will no longer be active.
5.13 The Student ID card uses microchip technology to provide entry to CAMOU campus. A security deposit of RM50 will be imposed before issuing the Student ID card.
5.2 You are responsible for the use of any access card issued to you including unauthorised use by other parties. You must not allow another person to use your card, or the facilities to which the card gives access. You must not, for example, allow anyone without a valid card to follow you into an access-controlled area.Misuse of access cards or security systems may result in an appropriate disciplinary action.

6. Warning, Suspension & Expulsion
6.1 Attendance to Qualify for Assessment : Institution expects hundred percent (100%) attendance from the students. Minimum of eighty percent (80%) of attendance is necessary to be eligible to appear for the Academy examinations / assessment.
6.2 Absences : Students are expected to personally inform to officer in-charge for any absences before lessons. Students are required to fill up a leave application form with Medical Certificates attached or signature by guardians / parents. School reserved right to call up parents to double check on the absences. No replacement lesson for any class absence.
6.3 Warning Letter : Students who are late twice is equivalent to one absent. Students who are absent or late four times without a valid reason accepted by the Academy will receive a yellow warning letter. Students who absent three times or late six times without a valid reason accepted by the Academy will receive an orange warning letter and will be failed for the subject that they are absent. If this happens, student need to retake the subject and complete all subjects failed in order to receive the Diploma certificate. Students failing to do so will not be entitled to receive the Diploma certificate. Student are not allowed to appeal on the basis of their own poor attendance once receiving orange warning letter unless the student have valid reason such as illness, accident or other accepted reasons with valid evidence to support the appeal.

depends on the degree of violation, Camou Academy of Media Arts will take actions in verbal warning, warning in written, suspension from lessons. For serious offence, student will be expel from Academy.
